About the team

The Database Management team’s primary role is to support and maintain Dealogic’s database infrastructure for internal and external clients around the world. The global team has members in London, New York, Hong Kong, Budapest and we are working on follow the sun way.

 

Production Database Support

• Ensure successful deployment of installations/upgrades within the production environment (Continuous delivery)
• Provide knowledge transfer and training to global production DBA team on previous deployments
• Provide incident and problem management for our internal and client-facing platforms
• Performance-tune database server environments to ensure service delivery expectations
• Manage data feeds within the production environment
• Ensure successful delivery of solution to technical and business expectations, including high availability, business continuity planning, efficient code usage, etc.
• Make sure the environment is always on the latest version (SQL 2016-2017)
Standards and Review of Technology
• Define and enforce database technology best practices
• Research and implement new technologies

 

Skills and experience

• Strong DBA experience with Microsoft SQL Server
• Strong knowledge of T-SQL
• Solid experience with performance tuning
• Full understanding of product release life cycle
• Full understanding of the software development life cycle
• Strong knowledge of database disaster recovery procedures
• Experience with high-availability solutions
• Experience of working in an agile development environment
